Happy Mother's Day to Me!

Isn't it AMAZING!?! I feel like the luckiest Mommy in the world today! Ever since we began watching Ace of Cakes when it premiered in 2006 I've joked every year that all I want for my birthday is an incredible cake. Well, it never happened, and I assumed that it never would since beautiful cakes aren't exactly a practical way to blow our budget, so I was enormously surprised when this gorgeous cake showed up to wish me a happy Mother's Day! Mitch picked it out and brought it home with him after work on Friday from one of our local fancy cake shops. I absolutely LOVE it, and it was almost painful to have to cut into it and ruin how pretty it was - though Sutton helped me out by sticking his finger through the fondant and deep into the side of it...he just couldn't believe it was really a cake! He kept saying "I want to help open that present for you Mommy!"

It was decorated with hearts for "Sawyer," "Sutton," and "Baby Boy" (since we're still completely undecided on his name!)
