Sutton & Sawyer baking the first batch of pumpkin bread of the season. They did it ALL by themselves this time, and it was delicious! I'm so proud of their skills in the kitchen! We created an entire "snack drawer" for them, complete with all the utensils (apple peeler, apple slicer, potato peeler, banana slicer, spreaders, kid's serrated knife, cups, etc.) and snack components (apples, bagels, rice cakes, crackers, peanut butter, etc.) they need to make their snacks all by themselves as well.

I was happy to have cooler weather over the weekend so that Simon could try out the new jeans that he got for his birthday - SUPER cute! He's still so small that these 18 month pants needed to be rolled up twice to fit (luckily he has enough 12 months pants to carry him for awhile still!). Such a contrast to his brothers who were SO much bigger at this age! Luckily we don't really need to concern ourselves with pants for awhile yet...it's supposed to be 95 again this week! Fall may officially be here, but we're making plans to visit the big pool a couple more times this weekend before they shut off the heaters for the season!

Camp Cupcake

Today I took the boys to Camp Cupcake at Icing on the Cupcake. We signed up a couple of weeks ago, and they were really excited for it. When we got there they were happy to see that there were lots of other boys there too...but then they got assigned to a table of all older girls LOL. Oh well!  I forgot my camera in our rush to get out of the house, so I only had my crappy cell phone.

They each got a hat and apron, and they got to decorate two of their own cupcakes (red velvet and confetti). There were all kinds of sprinkles, toppings and plastic picks to choose from.

Look at those gorgeous cupcakes! ;) Better watch out Duff, we've got our own Ace of Cakes in training!

Standing in front of the gigantic cart of sprinkles and toppings.

Group shot with all the older girls from their table. There really were a ton of other little kids and boys there, but they were all at other tables! This is the second Camp Cupcake that has been offered, and we will definitely be going back if they do another one. It was SO much fun!

Happy 1st Birthday Simon!

We celebrated Simon's first birthday on Sunday with a cowboy party and a bounce house, and today he is celebrating his "real birthday" in bed with croup and a round of steriod injections. Poor guy! At least he doesn't really have any concept of birthdays yet, because no one wants to spend their birthday sick and tired. His doctor said it's going around, and he was actually the third patient of the day to have it (and it was only 10:00 am!).

Good thing we had a ton of fun on Sunday! Thanks so much to everyone who came out to help us celebrate! We appreciate that so many people made the drive up here to party with us, and we loved sharing the day with all of you! XOXO

These guys wore their mustaches ALL day long!

The girls loved the mustaches as much as the boys!

Everyone was loving the big bounce house! Granddad even captured this fun mid-leap shot of Sawyer!

(The only kiddo who didn't love the bounce house was the birthday boy!)

He loves his cousin Zane though!

Cake time! Hmmmm...not really so sure what to do with this.

The first tentative taste test

Hey! This stuff is pretty yummy!

Oh yeaaaah, VERY yummy! At this point I was wondering if red velvet was the most reasonable choice of cakes for the occasion. Oh well!

Everyone enjoyed rootbeer floats with their cupcakes

All cleaned up and ready for more playtime in the garden.

Happy birthday, Simon! We love you SO very much! ♥
