Yesterday our very first butterfly emerged from her cocoon! The boys were SO excited! I'll post more on this later, because we've documented the whole caterpillar-to-butterfly process :)

Sawyer's school hatched ten baby chicks over the past week - they're sooo cute!
On Friday we took a trip to Folsom Zoo with Gigi and Stella. We saw lots of animals (and LOTS of people! Apparently we unknowingly took them on a day where there were at least four schools visiting - the tiny little zoo was jam packed!)
Sutton loved these wolves - he called them the "big wolf doggies."
Stella & Sawyer - the only thing that made her happy all day was holding on to Sawyer's hand ♥
Stella tried to feed her fingers to the deer that kept coming right up to check us out. These animals are fearless from a lifetime of living at the zoo...totally cool for the kids to get to see them SO up close!
Say Cheese!
Tigers and bears, oh my!
Yesterday Holly called to tell us that the goats and sheep we see all Spring & Summer long grazing around the open fields in Lincoln were literally right in her backyard!
After we picked up Sawyer from school, we stopped by Hattie's house to take a peek at the livestock. There were tons and tons of LOUD sheep and goats, so we took a little walk to get a closer view.
The boys were trying really hard to entice the goats and sheep to get a little closer, but alas, they weren't interested in the leaves and bark that the kids were offering ;)
