The boys got their own kid-sized safety goggles, so now they're even more excited about "working" in the garage at the workbench with Daddy! I ordered the goggles through For Small Hands as part of a fundraiser for Sawyer's Montessori school. I highly recommend the products from this company if you're in the market for Montessori materials (they actually have a lot of cool stuff that's not exactly Montessori related too).
The boys both got haircuts over the weekend. Sutton looks like such a grown-up big boy with his new spikey 'do.
Before Sawyer started preschool, we had been working on Montessori-inspired activities at home, and now Sutton is really interested in doing the same things. Here he is spooning beads and using tongs to transfer them from one container to another. It's nice to know that he's enjoying these activities, because after Thanksgiving we are going to switch him from traditional preschool to home preschool again. Good thing I already have lots of materials prepared!
Actually, our whole family is enjoying doing these activities again...especially when it's time to do bead work!
Sawyer discovered Mitch's old boxing gloves about a week ago, and his new favorite activity is playing "punchers" with Daddy.
All snuggled up and ready for football!
I still think that the Kitchen Helper that Mitch built for the boys is one of the greatest things we've ever owned. The boys use it every day for some sort of project or another, and it's been a fantastic way to get them involved in helping prepare dinner. They especially love to make their own pizzas!
