Our Busy Week

The boys brought home all of their Thanksgiving art projects from preschool, and combined with the crafts we've made at home we've amassed quite a collection of turkey-art this year!

Sutton was so proud of his Native American "feather" headdress, and he wore it all afternoon long. I was really tempted to post a picture of him sitting on the potty wearing nothing but the headdress (which looks very similar to a picture my mom has of me at the same age wearing nothing but a Burger King crown)...but I'm not that mean! ;)

We made SouleMama's WHO Bread, and once again the boys ate almost an entire loaf of homemade bread in one sitting! It made fantastic cinnamon toast, and probably would have been great as french toast if the boys hadn't eaten it all before we could try it! Next time I'll make it without cinnamon because it would probably taste better as sandwich bread that way.

Sawyer has gotten so independent in the kitchen! He's always asking to help me out, and he's capable of doing so many things these days - slicing apples, chopping vegetables, buttering his own bread, making sandwiches, rinsing dishes, sweeping up his messes and so much more! :)

Sutton's last day at preschool was last Thursday, and he is going to be staying home with me during the week now. I admit that I'm pretty worried about finding uninterrupted chunks of time for me to work, but I also have to admit that I'm incredibly excited that he's going to be back at home with me for awhile. It feels nice to have my baby back at home with me (not to mention that I'm more than a little relieved that he's not going to be exposed to quite as many kids this flu season). When Sawyer was Sutton's age we had a lot of fun doing preschool activities at home, so I'm looking forward to doing them again and having some quality one-on-one time with Sutton.

Looks like he's pretty happy to be home too...

I will not comment on how "thankful" was spelled "thankfull" on the one drawing. ours is the same. i will not comment on it.

I know, seriously. I had originally commented on it underneath the photo, and then went back and deleted it because I felt like I was being overly critical (but really, shouldn't educators be required to have better spelling/grammar? That is SUCH a pet peeve of mine!).
