Downtown Roseville Tuesday Nights

Tuesday night we took the boys to Downtown Roseville for the classic car show and farmer's market. There's not really much of a farmer's market there anymore, just a few small fruit and vegetable booths, but we did manage to pick up some apricots and sample some delicious cinnamon bread. There are a lot of other vendors selling fun stuff to look at though, and the boys enjoyed dancing to the live music while we ate some pizza for dinner.

Sawyer took his first pony ride, and I was impressed that he even wanted to get up on the pony in the first place since he hasn't actually been brave enough to do it before. Sutton wanted nothing to do with the ponies, and he focused all of his attention instead on the goats and sheep in the petting zoo area. Sawyer bounced in the bounce house and took a couple of trips down the giant inflatable slide, but since Sutton still isn't really into bouncy things we sat down in the shade to enjoy an ice cold glass of lemonade together while the other guys bounced. We will definitely be heading back there again on another Tuesday night, but this particular night was hotter than usual (100 degrees at 6:00 pm - and it's only May!), so we only stayed for about an hour or so and then headed back home.

The boys were diggin' the old cars, but they weren't too keen on the "No Touching" rule. We got a few throat clearing noises and funky looks from the old men in lawn chairs who were protectively guarding their classic babies. It's just too hard to keep telling a 2 and 3-year-old not to touch something that is essentially a life-sized Hot Wheels car!

It was hot and sweaty enough for Sawyer to make his hair spike up without any assistance

He's not sure if riding a pony is actually fun or not :)

I didn't have time to edit the video, so here's the whole thing anyway, just so you can see how funny it was to watch him go around and around without waving or even cracking a smile!

That video is so funny! He looks so serious -- must have been really concentrating. :-)
