Easter Goodies & Preschool News

Easter was such a whirlwind of activity that the boys didn't get much time to sit and play with all of their new stuff, so we devoted most of Monday to exploring all of our new found tresures. We had an exceptionally great day, and the boys were in fantastic moods. We got a call from the director of Morningstar Montessori in the morning, and she informed me that they had rearranged some of their scheduled days so that Sawyer will be able to attend there three full-days a week after all - yay! They had previously told us that they only had a five half-days a week spot available, and we were still going to accept it because we both really want him to go to this school, so we were thrilled to learn that he is going to be able to have a schedule that fits better with my work schedule. His first day of school is June 22, and he will be attending on Monday/Tuesday/Thursday. He's already super excited for it to start, so I think we're going to need to make a "countdown to preschool" chart so he can see just how long he has to go until June. It feels so strange to say that my baby is already going to go off to school, but he's definitely ready for it!

Sawyer playing with his Littlest Pet Shop animals. First he named them Mardi ("like Mardi Gras") and Willy, but then he re-named them Gigi and Granddad.

Sutton showing off his new watering can and garden gloves

Playing with his new Yo Gabba Gabba Plex & Muno train cars (thanks Hattie! Muno would have been pretty lonely without Plex to drive him around!)

Collecting and observing bugs in the "bug catcher"

Wow, that magnifying glass makes them look really big!

Sutton sat and watched the bugs for almost a full hour!

Enjoying his chocolate bunny from Hattie's Grandpa Patrick (thanks again!) - yummy!

Sutton crusing around the neighborhood on his new ATV. Aside from his time spent watching bugs, he pretty much spent the rest of the day on the ATV. It took me a little while to notice that Papa had put a little sticker on the front that says "Miller" (his middle name - named after Papa - and what Papa likes to call him) :)

Laughing his head off because he just slammed the sliding glass door closed on me!

The highlight of the afternoon - water balloons!
