Bowling

Today Sawyer and I went bowling at Strikes in Rocklin with a couple of other moms & kids from my mom's group. Sawyer has been bowling a few times before with Traci and Liz and the daycare kids, but I've never actually taken him myself, so it was a fun new experience for me. It happened to fall during what is usually the start of his nap time; however, so after about the 7th frame he was pretty much napping at the table while waiting for his next turn. Poor kid was super sleepy (he'd already had a full morning playing at Gigi's with Sutton), but he still had a really good time. He isn't around older kids very often (well, aside from the much older neighborhood kids), so it was kind of fun to compare his size with the 4 and 5 year old that were there. Let's just say that he completely towered over the other 2 year old (who is on the small side to begin with), but I was kind of surprised that he was only just a couple of inches shorter than the 5 year old. Maybe he really will grow up to be 6'4"! We hit up Carl's Jr. for a late lunch of the always popular chicken stars, and now he's taking a well deserved nap...and I think I'll take advantage of the opportunity to catch a few quick zzz's myself :)

Killing some time in the arcade

Riding a motorcycle - the thrill of his life!

Sizing up his shot

Using Mommy's ball - good form!

"I did it!"

He ended up bowling a whopping 66 after the last frame - woo hoo!
